Janey studied psychology in college, which is where she first discovered the magic word — introversion — that explained why she hated sleepovers, hid from roving neighbors, and chose to live in a haunted house alone rather than somewhere non-haunted with a mildly chatty roommate. Despite the many (and expensive) years of education, nothing prepared her for the messy, yet rewarding, world of parenting.
